ITEMS I DIDN'T WIN
absolutely beautiful. Do you have any more details about the designer or the firm, or the origin?thankss.
Manufactured by C.A. Buffington & Co., Berkshire, New York. I think they were used as extra seats in cars like Packard, Pierce-Arrow, Willys-Knight, Cadillac, etc.
wow...those were mine 8 years ago Db70
My name is buddy I own the building the chairs were made in in Berkshire new york
Calvin A. Buffington was my great grandfather. He designed and patented the first folding chair. His company manufactured them for the Model T Ford, to fit easily and be used for picnics. His company was in Berkshire, NY.
I've had one of these chairs for about 5yrs. & now I'd like to sell it but don't know what to ask. I know one sold on e-bay for $75.00 but they are fairly rare and in several large museums. Does anyone know what a fair price would be? I'll keep mine if there is no longer a market.
I have one of these chairs . Im interested in selling
